1. Geo-Tech Engineering
It is a branch of civil engineering, which deal with soil, rock and underground water and their relation to design, construction and operation of engineering projects.
2. Soil
Earth crust is assumed to consist of un-consolidation sediments (particles) upper layer of crust which can spot plants is called as “soil”.
3. Soil (in term of engineering)
Soil is defined as in un-consolidation material compared of solid particles produced by disintegration of rocks.
4. Soil Mechanics
Soil mechanics is that branch of science in which we study the behavior of soil under the action of force.

1. Residual soil
If the soil stay or rest at the place of its formation, just above the parent ricks usually surface soil is finer then underneath soil due to weathering action. The properties of bottom layer of such soils match with the parent rocks in many aspects.
2. Transported soil
A transported soil is that soil which has been deposit at a place away from its origin due to earthquake, water, wind and gravity.
